Raytheon announced that they have integrated their Boomerang gunshot detection sensor with ATAK.
Raytheon Intelligence & Space, a Raytheon Technologies business (NYSE: RTX), has integrated its Boomerang Warrior-X Dismounted Soldier Gunshot Detection System with the Android Team Awareness Kit to enhance battlefield management and situational awareness for ATAK users.Brad Tousley, president, Raytheon BBN Technologies, said, “This integration provides a game-changing threat assessment capability for U.S. and allied forces that operate ATAK.” For a decade, Boomerang has provided a critical combat capability by notifying users of the point of origin of incoming hostile fire.
